We hope you will find this website a useful tool in your
business and association practices.
The Edmonton Chapter of Advocis, The Financial Advisors Association
of Canada, represents Advocis members in the City of Edmonton
and surrounding areas. We are a voluntary professional association
of financial and insurance advisors, committed to representing
the interests of its members and their clients. Advocis is
the premier provider of professional development programs,
and sets a high level of ethical and market conduct standards
as a mandate for its membership. Advocis provides a strong
advocate for the financial services sector and the consumer
public in Canada.
Our new name represents what our members do best –
Advice and Advocacy. And our positioning line – Listening
First – underscores that commitment to professionalism.
Advocis carries on the tradition of effectively representing
its members’ interest with all levels of government,
regulators, and industry, always with the intention of putting
the interests of the consumer first.
As a single organization, Advocis represents thousand of
professional advisors from coast to coast. Advocis members
advise their clients on the short and long term financial
needs of individuals, families, and owners of small and medium
sized businesses. Our members provide financial services that
are limited only by the needs of their clients. Those services
include financial planning, estate planning, tax planning,
and consultation on employee group benefits, pensions and
retirement plans. What unites our members is the common activity
of helping Canadians realize their financial goals and protect
what is at stake – the savings of Canadians and the
financial security of their families and themselves.
